Two Barongs

For Filipino American History Month in October, my collective decided that we should showcase a bit about our identity. We decided that our theme should revolve around the Filipino people's love for basketball in the United States and The Mother Land. As opposed to basketball uniforms, we decided to use traditional Filipino Men's wear for formal wear to represent the beauty of both fashion and sport. The elegance, the detail, and the execution of basketball and fashion coexist within the same conversation. Our love for both the game and our culture bleeds through the images. Even though it is a battle of who's best, we feel as if solidarity and camaraderie brings out pure form of mutual respect.

Always + Forever

I was approached with the opportunity to create and direct a music video for an upcoming release for local artist COMS. COMS asked for a brooding portrayal of life beyond a past life. Highlighting the painful memories that have surfaced in their subconscious when moving out to the Pacific Northwest. I wanted to capture those emotions that he relays in their song visually by forming the narrative as a letter.

The Homeland

It's been 8 years since I've returned to The Philippines and I wanted to document how I felt and experienced throughout this trip. Utilizing what I've gained artistically, I wanted to document my experience focusing on my appreciation of those around me and the land that I've reconnected with.
